The Sahitya that is the literature Section of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra has strived to build a forum for the discussion and upliftment of the rich written and oral literary traditions of the region. Kalakshetra has been regularly organizing seminars, discussions and lectures on different topics related to Sankari Literature and different aspects of Assamese Literature including the folk literature. Till now more than twenty lecture programmes have been organized and delivered by renowned writers, researchers and experts of Assam. Seminars and lectures are also organised on specific communities to discuss their literature and culture involving experts on the community including experts from within the community.

Library: Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra has a unique library of rare books and manuscripts. The collection of the library has been made giving special emphasis on the books on cultural heritage of the state. Various other publications like proceedings of seminars, lectures on Assamese folk literature, etc, are being preserved in this library. This library is being divided into different sections viz., Art and culture, Literature, Music and Drama.

Publication: Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra has plans to publish books through its publication wing. Research papers which have been presented in the seminars and discussions organized by Kalakshetra have already been compiled and will be published in form of books as soon as adequate fund is available. Apart from these, books on various topics related to the art and culture of the region, catalogues of museum collections are on the cards.
